1. Provide a paragraph on an important issue of your choice from Section 1:
I think it was a good idea to let 18 year olds vote because if the president can send them over seas to fight then they should be able to pick the president. also you cannot deprive any one from voting if they meet the qualifications.
2. Provide a paragraph on an important issue of your choice from Section 2:
Secton 2 talked about the registration process and what they are doing to make it easier. you have to register to be able to vote because if no one registered then some people would vote twice and the right person might not win.
3. Provide a paragraph on an important issue of your choice from Section 3:
this section is about what we have done in the past to try to get people not to vote, and what laws or guidelines we made to fix it. blacks wouldnt vote because they were scared but we made laws so everyone has the right to vote.
4. Provide a paragraph on an important issue of your choice from Section 4:
The minor parties really dont stand a huge chance against the big parties. but they are important in the sense that if people are not happy with the way this country is being run they can do somthing about it. it gives you that feeling that you can do anything you set your mind to.
5. Explain voter apathy and what can be done to help it:
Its when people dont want to get out and practice there right to vote, but if we had more people running there might be someone they really want to vote for so they will go and vote. even though as an american citizen you should go and vote, we do live in america and if someone does not want to vote they shouldnt be hackled for there decision.
6. Explain the qualifications for registering to vote:
they have to be 18 and an american citizen then they must register his or her name, age, place of birth, present address, lenght of residence, and similar facts

Democrat Republican hist
The republican party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the united states along with the democratic party founded by anti-slavery expansion activists in 1854 it is often called the grand old party (GOP). The partys platform generally reflects american conservatism, in contrast to the more liberal or democrats.
The democratic party is one of two major contemporary political parties in the united states along with the republican party the partys liberal platform is largely considered center-left in the u.s. political spectrum the party has the lengthiest record of continuous operation in the united states the party had 72 million registered voters in 2004 president Barack Obama is the 15th democrat to hold the office
I think in the future i would be leaning more towards democrat mostly because they are more open to sugestions. they are liberal wich is a good thing in think. in the past though i would have chosen republican because they did not beleive in slavery which i dont think i would have either. in the future it is hard to see wut values i will have and which party i will chose.

elections
Republicans took over the congress but some were still voted in so its not a huge diffrence. but if they dont end up helping us to get out of our economic trouble then in the next two years it is going to be the democrats in the house because people wont like the republicans anymore.
I think the people we chose for office in south dakota Dennis Dauggards, kristi noem, will do what they can to help us not spend as much money and make more jobs for the unemployed because that would create more money from taxes from the stores going to the state.

the ads on tv now a days seem to try to get you to think that all the political candidates are living like you and going through all these problems like we are in the recession but in all honesty they are living fine.
i dont have a particular candidate i like but i like the ones that are actually down to earth not the ones that pretend to be.
as for my role in the future politics is a little too high pace for me so i will probably just exercise my right to vote and try to get who i believe is the best for this country in office
