Capitalism is a country with a free economy were you can have your own business if you want. socialism is were the government has some control over the economy to be able to make the country wealthy. communism is a form of government were the government has complete control over the economy jobs and land.
Capitalism is good because people cando whatever they want but also it can bring down the economy. socialism can be good as well to make your country more wealthy, but people might not be as happy. communism, it will make everyone on the same scale and help make you a powerful country but most of the people will not like it.

A bill is an idea for a new law or an idea to change or do away with an existing law hundreds of bills enter the legislative process each time the legislature meets. two groups of elected citizens senators and delegates study discuss and vote on bills and in doing so act for the people. bills enter the legislative process either through the house of delegates or the senate but to become laws bills must pass both chambers and avoid a governors veto.

A committe is a group of people that get together to discuss a bill that will be coming out and they try to make it as flawless as possible so when it comes to being voted on it will most likely pass. the committess have a very important purpose of creating and fixing bills that will change our daily lives.
3. Read the following link and share your opinions: 1 paragraph http://keloland.com/NewsDetail6162.cfm?Id=109027
I dont think we will see much change in the house because the only thing people are worried about is how it will effect them politically and if they will get elected again. we just need to kinda start all over with all our problems and solve them instead of burying them under other problems.
4. Read the following link and find a story and give a reflection on it:1 paragraph http://www.cnn.com/POLITICS/
In california police can look through an arrested persons phone without a warrent. that is just wrong and kind of stupid... even if you are arrested you still have your rights they should be forced to get a warrant to be able to do anything becasue otherwise its invading your privacy.
5. Read the following link and give a reflection on it: 1 paragraph http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/2011/01/05/worried-about-national-debt-put-it-your-credit-card?test=latestnews
this is so stupid. they want us to pay for our goverments slip ups. maybe we need to help our own country instead of having troops all over the world trying to be the good guy no one likes us for doing that anyway we just need to come back home fix our own messed up country then we can worry about other ones.
6. Read the following link and give a reflection on it: 1 paragraph

i have no idea what this one was about it was kind of confusing but it sounds like we are just making another problem trying to fix an old one.

1. Provide a paragraph on an important issue of your choice from Section 1:
I think it was a good idea to let 18 year olds vote because if the president can send them over seas to fight then they should be able to pick the president. also you cannot deprive any one from voting if they meet the qualifications.
2. Provide a paragraph on an important issue of your choice from Section 2:
Secton 2 talked about the registration process and what they are doing to make it easier. you have to register to be able to vote because if no one registered then some people would vote twice and the right person might not win.
3. Provide a paragraph on an important issue of your choice from Section 3:
this section is about what we have done in the past to try to get people not to vote, and what laws or guidelines we made to fix it. blacks wouldnt vote because they were scared but we made laws so everyone has the right to vote.
4. Provide a paragraph on an important issue of your choice from Section 4:
The minor parties really dont stand a huge chance against the big parties. but they are important in the sense that if people are not happy with the way this country is being run they can do somthing about it. it gives you that feeling that you can do anything you set your mind to.
5. Explain voter apathy and what can be done to help it:
Its when people dont want to get out and practice there right to vote, but if we had more people running there might be someone they really want to vote for so they will go and vote. even though as an american citizen you should go and vote, we do live in america and if someone does not want to vote they shouldnt be hackled for there decision.
6. Explain the qualifications for registering to vote:
they have to be 18 and an american citizen then they must register his or her name, age, place of birth, present address, lenght of residence, and similar facts

Democrat Republican hist
The republican party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the united states along with the democratic party founded by anti-slavery expansion activists in 1854 it is often called the grand old party (GOP). The partys platform generally reflects american conservatism, in contrast to the more liberal or democrats.
The democratic party is one of two major contemporary political parties in the united states along with the republican party the partys liberal platform is largely considered center-left in the u.s. political spectrum the party has the lengthiest record of continuous operation in the united states the party had 72 million registered voters in 2004 president Barack Obama is the 15th democrat to hold the office
I think in the future i would be leaning more towards democrat mostly because they are more open to sugestions. they are liberal wich is a good thing in think. in the past though i would have chosen republican because they did not beleive in slavery which i dont think i would have either. in the future it is hard to see wut values i will have and which party i will chose.
